We are a team of innovative Californians and
we call our group SimpleWave. Over the past two years SimpleWave
has come up with a brand that will completely change the way we
all eat forever. Our patent pending NEW product
called the CaliBowl™ is
an innovative product which prevents spills and allows for complete
control over the food content.
Sound simple? It is, and we have packaged this technology in a viral,
exciting brand that everyone has grown to love in a very short time.
Sound too good to be true? It isn’t. It is what our team calls
the Cali effect and it will soon be in everyone’s home nationwide.
We have taken the industry by storm!
The CaliBowl™ is the patent pending brainchild of Jeff Bollengier,
Richard Stump & Kaveh Soofer; all California natives, who share
a passion for innovation, sustainability and the need to create!
Jeff conceived the concept 20 years ago while surfing in Baja Mexico.
He was inspired to follow his dream and share the innovation with
the rest of the world.
We are committed to caring about the environment and the communities
we live in.
Together over the past two years our team has been able to design
and develop this unique concept which has created a groundswell in
the market in just a small amount time.
The Calibowl Story
Jeff Bollengier, a California native conceived the
patent pending idea many years ago. Working as a general engineering
contractor Jeff always had the dream to one day bring his product
to fruition. His infallible belief, blind faith, support from his
family, and heart filled devotion made that dream a reality. We
have incorporated this story into our company’s vision and
product development ideology. Our design and business philosophy
are directly derived from that environment in which Jeff’s
creation was birthed over 20 years ago.
Here is his
story:
I was inspired while watching my family
play on the beach in rural Costa Rica. We were having a great
family moment when I realized
life was meant to be natural, simple, and about enjoying the
moment. I reflected back 20 years ago while I was in Baja Mexico
surfing
and enjoying fresh chips and salsa. While struggling to keep
the salsa from falling out of the bowl, I realized that a simple
adjustment
to the bowl would give me the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy
eating without having to fight the fresh contents.
There’s nothing better than eating incredibly
delicious foods with the people you care about. There’s no
better simple moment in life. 20 years later while I sat on the
beach with my wife and kids, I realized it was time to give people
that shared the same outlook a means to simply relish the moment
while eating incredible whole foods, and doing it with maximum
enjoyment.
We believe that the CaliBowl™ will enhance those simple moments
in life when all you need is your family, friends and delicious
food. Envision yourself entertaining family and friends, while
enjoying your homemade salsa, dips, and every other great recipe
you may hold dear to your family without restraints and enjoying
the full effect of eating the perfect bite.
Last year after a lifetime career in the construction business
I left and risked it all to fulfill the CaliBowl™ dream. Once
I made this decision it became very clear to me how little I knew
about developing a product.
I found a product development company in the bay whom one of the
owners Rich Stump and I became friends and soon there after met
Kaveh Soofer whom owns a company called Plastikon (a global contract
manufacturing company). Together as a team we all collaborated
and started building the CaliBowl brand. All three of us had the
vision for the product since day one and now had the resources
with Rich, Kaveh and myself to make it a reality and
knock it out of the park!
Let me take a step back for second and say that for 12 years I
had worked as a General Engineering Contractor, basically operating
heavy equipment. I enjoyed my job, but as I became more involved
in this creative world, it pulled me into a realm that I could
have never believed existed. I quickly transitioned from a hard
working man into an explorer of my creative and adventurous soul.
As I follow my instincts and travel down this road, I am confirming
even more so now the belief that you should follow your dreams,
listen to your heart, and live an honest life.
These new friendships and the team we have formed have given me
an opportunity to achieve a goal that I have envisioned since I
was a child sitting in the back of my mom’s old Ford Zephyr
dreaming of what could be. Once we built the bowl we realized that
not only did we create a bowl that made it easier to eat salsa
and dips; but we built a better bowl which will revolutionize cooking
and eating forever.
We invite you to join our vision and strategy of bringing people
together to enjoy the simple moments surrounded by those we love
and care about!

Our Environmental Agenda: Zero Landfill Policy
Simple Wave is committed to enhance the long-term sustainability
of our planet by developing a framework for reducing environmental
impacts, increasing community health, and protecting our community’s
environmental resources for future generations. The Environmental
Agenda envisions an active, vibrant company growing in concert
with its natural surroundings. Employees, manufacturing operations,
logistics and warehousing facilities, and general business locations
will seek out opportunities to protect and preserve natural resources
while improving our community’s quality of life, health,
and overall well-being.
Guiding Principles
1. The Concept of Sustainability Guides Company Policy:
Simple Wave is committed to meeting its existing needs without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own
needs. The long-term impacts of policy choices will be considered
to ensure a sustainable legacy.
2. Protection, Preservation, and Restoration of the Natural Environment
is a High Priority of the Company:
Simple Wave is committed to protecting, preserving and restoring
the natural environment. Company decision-making will be guided
by a mandate to maximize environmental benefits and reduce or eliminate
negative environmental impacts. The company will lead by example
and encourage other community stakeholders to make a similar commitment
to the environment.
3. Environmental Quality, Economic Health and Social Equity are
Mutually Dependent:
Sustainability requires that our collective decisions as a company
allow our economy and community members to continue to thrive without
destroying the natural environment upon which we all depend. A
healthy environment is integral to the company’s long-term
economic and societal interests. In achieving a healthy environment,
we must ensure that inequitable burdens are not placed on any one
geographic or socioeconomic sector of the population and that the
benefits of a sustainable community are accessible to all members
of the community.
4. All Decisions Have Implications to the Long-term Sustainability
of Simple Wave:
The company will ensure that each of its policy decisions and programs
are interconnected through the common bond of sustainability as
expressed in these guiding principles. The policy and decision-making
processes of the company will reflect our sustainability objectives.
The Company will lead by example and encourage other community
stakeholders to use sustainability principles to guide their decisions
and actions.
5. Community Awareness, Responsibility, Participation and Education
are Key Elements of a Sustainable Community:
All company members, including individual employees, manufacturing
facilities, businesses locations, and other company institutions
must be aware of their impacts on the global environmental, economic
and social health, must take responsibility for reducing or eliminating
those impacts, and must take an active part in efforts to address
sustainability concerns. The company will therefore be a leader
in the creation and sponsorship of education opportunities to support
community awareness, responsibility and participation in cooperation
with schools, colleges and other organizations in the community.
6. Simple Wave Recognizes Its Linkage with the Regional, National,
and Global Community:
Local environmental, economic and social issues cannot be separated
from their broader context. This relationship between local issues
and regional, national and global issues will be recognized and
acted upon in the company's programs and policies. The company's
programs and policies should therefore be developed as models that
can be emulated by other companies. The company will also act as
a strong advocate for the development and implementation of model
programs and innovative approaches by regional, state and federal
governments that embody the goals of sustainability.
7. Those Sustainability Issues Most Important to the Community
Will be Addressed First, and the Most Cost-Effective Programs and
Policies Will be Selected:
The financial and human resources which are available to the company
are limited. The company and the community will reevaluate its
priorities and its programs and policies annually to ensure that
the best possible investments in the future are being made. The
evaluation of a program's cost-effectiveness will be based on a
complete analysis of the associated costs and benefits, including
environmental and social costs and benefits.
8. The Company is Committed to Procurement Decisions which Minimize
Negative Environmental and Social Impacts:
The procurement of products and services by the company and Simple
Wave employees, businesses and institutions results in environmental,
social and economic impacts both in this
country and in other areas of the world. The company will develop
and abide by an environmentally and socially responsible procurement
policy that emphasizes long-term values and will become a model
for other organizations.
9. The Precautionary Principle Provides a Complementary Framework
to Help Guide Company Decision-Makers in the Pursuit of Sustainability:
The Precautionary Principle requires a thorough exploration and
careful analysis of a wide range of alternatives, and a full cost
accounting beyond short-term and monetary transaction costs. Based
on the best available science, the Precautionary Principle requires
the selection of alternatives that present the least potential
threat to human health and the environment’s natural systems.
Where threats of serious or irreversible damage to people or nature
exist, lack of full scientific certainty about cause and effect
shall not be viewed as sufficient reason for the company to not
adopt mitigating measures to prevent the degradation of the environment
or protect the health of its community. In recognizing that prevention
is more effective that mitigation; the company will seek out preventative
approaches. Public participation and an open and transparent decision
making process are critical to finding and selecting alternatives.
10. Zero Landfill Policy:
Simple Wave will strive to develop and implement programs and policy
in research and development, manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment,
distribution, product sustainment, and product end of life that
results in zero landfill contribution.
“Recycle-A-Bowl” Program
As an effort to eliminate all landfill contribution
in line with Simple Wave’s “Zero Landfill Policy”,
at the end of a product’s life, participants will have the
option to return the CaliBowl™ product to Simple Wave to

a 20% discount on their entire subsequent order through the CaliBowl™ online
