bowl is great! I have a 93 year old uncle living in a care
home. He has a hard time feeding himself without
food
spilling
out of the bowl. Thanks to the CaliBowl™, it has made
eating so much easier for him. The owners of the care home

I truly love the Cali BowlTM for one reason in particular;
my kids don't make a mess when they eat out of these
bowls. I don't have
to waste time cleaning up the table and the floor because
the food stays on the spoon! But that's not all. The
graduated size makes
these great for cooking and baking...and the nesting
is terrific where storage space is at a premium, i.e.
our
home. The colors
are so pretty that they can easily go to a family-style
table or picnic with salsa or side dishes. I have a
lot of pool
parties
and recently these bowls with their beautiful colors
were a HUGE
hit... many were asking where I got them because they
wanted a set of Cali bowls™ too!

 1) We REALLY like how firmly the bowls are attached
to the suction rings. We have always had problems
with bowls
coming
out of their
rings and the contents spilling all over students,
so that is probably the most appreciated feature
at this
point.
2) The suction rings themselves don’t cling to table tops
as firmly as we’d like (bowls can come unattached as the
meal wears on), but they are an improvement over what we’ve
been using. I’m thinking that if we moisten the rings
slightly before pushing them onto the table, they will stick
better/longer.
3) The inner lip is something we’ve not seen on bowls,
and is a really nice feature for pureed consistencies and students
who have scooping difficulties.
4) The covers are a great addition—it’s nice to
be able to simply pop an unfinished portion into the fridge
for
later.
5) The colors and materials are visually
and tactilely pleasing. The colors are
pretty and
much closer
to typical dinner settings
than the choices in adaptive equipment
catalogs. One of my students was thrilled to have his
choice of color,
and
he
liked the Calibowl
so much that when he was done eating he
insisted on putting it in his own equipment drawer so no
one else could use it!
